Wallpaper Projects and Teruko Kushi have come together to create "Moonrise", a unique wallpaper featuring copper, bronze and steel patinated paintings.
Using metal as a canvas, Teruko treats the material with a series of natural earth elements, acids and heat, to produce chromatic and ethereal painterly surfaces.
The vivid colors and gestural shapes evoke celestial and atmospheric phenomena, as if to capture the soft glow of twilight, iridescent clouds, or aurora borealis.

Wallpaper Projects x Teruko Kushi have come together to create Botanical Ore, a special collection of bronze patinated wallpaper. Using bronze as a canvas, Teruko hand paints wild flora into the material surface with a combination of natural mineral patinas as chemical catalysts. The process produces luminous and iridescent botanical metal paintings. Printed on silver mylar to give them the look of the original bronze.

For the “Uncharted” exhibition at Alcova / Miami, Teruko Kushi collaborated with Wallpaper Projects to create “Lucent Ore”, a unique collection of wallpaper and silk fabric, featuring heat tempered and copper oxidized steel that utilizes natural minerals and earth elements to create dynamic and ethereal surfaces. The movement and the colors are captured through an alchemical and painterly process, revealing the luminous and organic beauty living with the material.
